Obama ‘Freezes’ Putin’s Facebook Account, Warns Of ‘Harsher’ Sanctions if Russia Won’t Leave Crimea

[adsense]Early Tuesday US officials seized Vladimir Putin’s Facebook account as part of their sanctions against Russia for annexing the Crimea region of Ukraine.

Russian officials instantly took to their Twitter accounts, mocking Obama and his administration by calling them ‘pranksters’. Russian officials seemed to not be worried about US sanctions, which included freezing Facebook accounts, locking them out of US banking systems and threats of further sanction.

While Putin did not respond directly, Russian deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin tweeted:

“Comrade @BarackObama  did some prankster came up with the list [of sanctions]?”

Rogozin later Tweeted, “Comrade @BarackObama what should do those who have neither accounts nor property abroad? Or U didn’t think about it?”

An amused Putin scoffs when reporters informed him that US President Barack Obama ‘seized and froze’ his Facebook account.

Russian President Vladimir Putin scoffed when reporters informed him of Obama’s actions and threats. Moments later, Putin signed a piece of legislature that recognized Crimea as an independent nation with sovereign right to request annexation within the Russian Federation.

Russian polls show that residents of Crimea are 95% in favor of joining the Russian Federation.
