Today fashion brand Versace announced that Lady Gaga is to be the new face of the fashion line.
The ‘Applause’ singer bears a resemblance to the company’s matriarch, Donatella Versace. Though age and plastic surgeries have not necessarily been kind to Donatella, she seems very happy with her new choice in brand representative.
Though heavily photoshopped, Lady Gaga is looking good in the new brand ads for Versace, and the company will definitely benefit from the entertainer’s huge media following and penchant for trendsetting, if not head-turning, outfits that always make a huge public spectacle.
Hiring Gaga is a very good business move for Versace, as they may try to reign in new pocket-heavy buyers from a young demographic.
