L.A. County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene by Los Angeles law enforcement. Both driver and passenger are reported dead after the car’s fiery explosion. The identity of the driver is currently unknown, though reports coming in seem conclusive in identifying Walker as the passenger.
The Fast and Furious star was only 40-years-old. A cause for the accident, in what should have been optimal driving conditions, is not yet confirmed.
Friends of Walker indicate the charity event for the night involved a car show, whose proceeds were to be donated to relief efforts for Typhoon Haiyan victims in the Phillipines. Walker was reported to be lively and happy during the event, excited about upcoming donations to provide relief and taking pictures with friends and other attendees.
