Obama to Aides: ‘I’m Really Good At Killing People’

A new book named Double Down:  Game Change 2012 cites President Barack Obama telling his aides that he’s “really good at killing people.”

While discussing drone strikes last year, Obama apparently stated the line to his staffers.  Washington Post quickly caught wind of the fact in their review of the book and now of course, it is a major media issue.

Worldwide allegations that the US is abusing its power and committing acts of terror vis-a-vis drone strokes make the book’s allegations all that more fiery.  While the White House has not responded to questions regarding the book and its claims, including those that Obama heavily considered replacing Biden with Hillary Clinton in his 2012 campaign against Mitt Romney, stories about the use of US drones hitting civilian targets are definitely all too common and troublesome.

President Obama has remained defiant when asked about the US’ usage of drones.  In May,  the president gave a speech at the National Defense University and touched upon the usage of drones.

“Let us remember that the terrorists we are after target civilians, and the death toll from their acts of terrorism against Muslims dwarfs any estimate of civilian casualties from drone strikes,” Obama said.

Since 2008, Pakistan claims US drone strikes have killed 68 civilians.
